PS: I talked to my mom about my dead laptop, I don't want to send it to faraway land for one part and some random people to fix it where it will most likely take only undoing a few screws and popping the screen off. that all may cost I think 500-600$, So yeah I think I'm going to be stuck with desktop only, and this crappy wooden chair but Ill try to be on as much as I can unless someone know where to get good parts aka a backlight in Newyork.;.; ~Sorry~

I never knew the best places to look, and I thought shipping would be a pain :[, but that seems to be my best shot for it to be fixed asap.

Thanks boss but to be honest I think it fixed itself, I went to a bestbuy with Flow and they told me to just hook up my screen from the desktop to my laptop and when I tryed it today my laptop backlight was fine o_o but I am keeping those links...hp laptops are a boob to work with :[

Speaking of though, as of late my CD room thing wont play either new alice in wonderland soundtracks, I may not have a driver, but I did nothing to get rid of it. o.e
Know of anything to help Fellow, I always seem to go to you for my laptop's crappyness XD

Well, it could just be because the CD player does know how to play the files, because of the file types. What does the CD player say when you play it?

I try to use Windows media player but nothing loads, it just spins then stops doing anything.

Try cleaning out the disc tray, that sounds like the problem.

if that doesn't work, get winamp or nero... they usually read any file

=P I got other suggestions to what to get on that matter, but I guess those would be good enough xD
